Mr. Abimbola Olashore is an Engineering Graduate of the University of Hull, United Kingdom, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain.  A seasoned investment Banker who over the years has acquired in-depth knowledge and vast experience in the capital market and as well as financial advisory services in the public and private sectors.

Mr. Olashore began his career with Deloitte Adetona Isichie & Co as an Audit Assistant in 1987 where he did his accounting articles and became a qualified Chartered Accountant in November 1990.  He led teams on various Audit assignments and left the firm as an Audit Senior.

He thereafter joined LeadBank in February, 1991 as an Assistant Manager in the Capital Markets department of the Bank where he was exposed to various training programs and was involved in raising of funds and offering financial advice to various companies.  He rose through the ranks of the Bank and was made a Manager of the Bank in October, 1992.  He was invited onto the board in January, 1993 and was appointed acting Managing Director in July 1997 and confirmed substantive Chief Executive in January, 2000.  As the Managing Director of LeadBank Plc, he revitalized the Bank, introducing innovative and groundbreaking ideas with a view to making the Bank a respected global player in the industry and under his leadership, the bank emerged as a major contender in the fields of privatization and financial advisory, issuing house, stock broking and project finance.

In April 2006, Mr. Olashore joined Ecobank Transnational Group (ETI) as a  member of the Management Team in the position of an Executive Director of Ecobank Nigeria Plc in charge of Wholesale Banking Group which comprises investment banking, public sector, multinational, regional and large local corporate organizations.  He also has responsibility of growing the investment banking business across Africa under the platform Ecobank Development Corporation (EDC) in which the Bank emerged as a force to be reckoned with in investment banking scene during this period.

He became the Chief Executive Officer of LeadCapital Plc in July, 2007 and was involved in promoting the firm into a full-fledged investment banking outfit with subsidiaries involved in stock broking, Asset Management and Advisory Services with branches nationwide.  The firm has established itself as a leading independent boutique investment banking institution under his leadership. After successfully navigating the firm and its subsidiaries through the recapitalization of the industry by the Securities and Exchange Commission, he voluntarily stepped down as the Chief Executive Officer in Dec 2015.

He is now promoting Lead Advisory Partners to offer consultancy services to Nigerian Emerging Corporates and SME’s.
